Kombai can scan your workspace to identify the tech stack(e.g., Framework, API & state manangement, Router, Component library, Styling) used in the codebase.

How to scan your workspace

  • Through tech stack configuration
  • Through first message
  1. Click icon in Kombai’s input box.
  2. Now, click icon on right of Tech stack used.
  3. Click Scan Workspace button at the the bottom right.
  4. Kombai will now scan your workspace for the tech stack used.
  5. Click Proceed to continue.
Post scanning, you can either proceed with the scanned tech stack or configure the tech stack manually.

When to scan workspace

Kombai recommends scanning your workspace in two cases:
  1. Before first use: If you haven’t used Kombai in a workspace, we recommend you to always scan the workspace before generating the first output.
  2. After updating dependencies: If you update the workspace’s dependencies (e.g., frameworks, component library, icon pack), scan the workspace again so Kombai can identify the new tech stack.
