Kombai can launch, access, and operate a Chrome browser, enabling you to test development websites & web applications, and perform automated browser-based operations. The Kombai agent operates within its own dedicated browser profile to keep it separate from your regular web browsing. As a result, it appears as a distinct application in your dock and won’t have any of your accounts logged in. Kombai browser is of two types: User browser and Agent browser.

User browser

Manually preview your local deployements and send DOM elements and console errors back to Kombai as context.

Agent browser

Let Kombai autonomously navigate, click, and interact with web pages to execute tests and tasks.
Kombai requires Chrome version 133 or higher to function correctly.

Toggle between agent and user browser

  1. Launch Kombai extension in your IDE.
  2. Click the
    icon in the chat input box.
  3. Click User to switch to user browser.
  4. Click Agent to switch to agent browser.
