Instead of typing an @Mention, you can select something you’re already looking at and add it to your chat directly.

From an assistant’s reply

Highlight text in one of Kombai’s replies. An Add to chat button appears above the selection; click it to add the text to your chat input as a quote. In the desktop app, you can also press ⌘L / Ctrl L.

From the code editor

In the desktop app, select one or more lines in a file open in Browse Files. Click the Add to chat button above the selection, right-click the selection and choose Add Selection to Chat, or press ⌘L / Ctrl L, to add the selection to your chat input as a code reference. The button appears only for a file on disk. The same button appears over text you select in a Markdown file’s preview, and adds the source lines behind that text.

From an image

In the desktop app, open an image in Browse Files and click Add to chat in the viewer to attach it to your chat.

From a file tab

In the desktop app, right-click an open file’s tab for Copy Path, Copy Relative Path, or Add to Chat — the same actions available from the file explorer.
